A well-established mid-size law firm in Menlo Park is seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support its Real Estate, Land Use, and Litigation attorneys. This full-time position is primarily transactional work, with approximately 80 percent focused on real estate and land use matters and 20 percent involving civil litigation support. Responsibilities:
Real Estate and Land Use Support
Support residential and commercial purchase and sale transactions, leasing agreements, and easement agreements
Coordinate signings, notary services, and recordings
Assist with Public Records Act requests, city and county ACCELA permitting, zoning and mapping research, and document production
Conduct property information searches, including through TitlePro
Litigation Support
Format, e-file, and e-serve pleadings and discovery in state and federal courts, and coordinate service of process
Maintain discovery calendars, organize document productions, and prepare hearing and trial binders in both electronic and hard copy formats
Arrange court reporters and videographers, and assist with exhibit lists and witness coordination
Administrative Duties
Manage calendars and coordinate meetings, hearings, closings, and public meetings
Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, memoranda, and pleadings while applying firm formatting standards
Open new matters, maintain client files in both electronic and paper formats, and ensure proper document control
Prepare and send legal services agreements and run client conflict checks
Track deadlines, court and agency dates, and internal milestones; maintain tickler systems and reminders
Enter attorney time as needed and assist with client LEDES billing, including invoices and edits
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, agencies, consultants, and vendors
Work Environment

On site for training and then will be a hybrid role after training
